Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check eligibility criteria as per official recruitment notification as follows:-
(1) Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination.
(2) As per the Madhya Pradesh General Administration Department’s circulars (As per official recruitment), a one-year computer diploma/certificate from any one of the following institutions/universities is mandatory:
- (a) Diploma from any university recognized by the U.G.C.
- (b) Diploma from any open university recognized by the U.G.C.
- (c) Diploma level examination from D.O.E.A.C.C./National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).
- (d) Modern Office Management Course from a Government Polytechnic College.
- (e) One-year “Computer Operator and Programming Assistant” (COPA) certificate from a Government I.T.I.
- (f) One-year Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) certificate awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training (N.C.V.T.), New Delhi or the State Council for Vocational Training (S.C.V.T.), M.P.
OR
- B.E. (CSE/IT)/M.C.A./B.C.A./M.Sc. (IT/CS)/B.Sc. (IT/CS)/M.Tech./M.C.A./M.E., etc., from the above-mentioned recognized institutions.
OR
- AICTE-approved Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Applications & Information Technology.
Note: B.Sc./B.Com./other degrees in which Computer is included as only one subject will not be considered valid.
(B)Computer Proficiency Certification Test (CPCT): Candidates must have passed the Computer Proficiency Certification Test (CPCT) conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Department of Science and Technology with a Hindi typing speed of 20 words per minute and/or an English typing speed of 30 words per minute as per the department’s requirement.
(C) For those positions in various departments where a computer diploma is not included in the mandatory qualifications in the recruitment rules, but rather knowledge of computer operation is required, it will be sufficient to hold a valid Score Card obtained through the Computer Proficiency Certification Test (CPCT) examination. For such positions, no other computer/IT-related diploma/certificate will be required in addition to the CPCT Score Card. The same provision will also apply to departments where recruitment rules do not exist for the positions or where, due to positions being sanctioned on a contractual basis, their qualifications are not provided in the recruitment rules.
(D) For Data Entry Operator/IT Operator/Assistant Grade-3/Stenographer/Steno typist and other similar positions in various departments, for which a computer degree/diploma/certificate is a mandatory qualification in the recruitment rules, in addition to the computer diploma/certificate previously determined by the General Administration Department, which is mentioned in Para-A, it will also be mandatory to hold a CPCT Score Card. The remaining qualifications will remain as they are.
(E) Departments will not be required to conduct separate examinations or interviews for testing IT proficiency, as this Score Card will serve as proof that the candidate possesses the minimum IT proficiency required for the discharge of official duties for the Data Entry-cum-Office Assistant position.
(3) For Hindi Stenographer/Stenographer, along with the above ‘A’ and ‘B’, passing the Hindi shorthand examination with a speed of 100 words per minute from a recognized institution/council/university is required. For English Stenographer/Stenographer, along with the above ‘A’ and ‘B’, passing the English shorthand examination with a speed of 100 words per minute from a recognized institution/council/university is required. For Typist/Steno typist, along with the above ‘A’ and ‘B’, passing the Hindi shorthand examination with a speed of 80 words per minute from a recognized institution/council/university is required.
For Other Posts: For other positions, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) and possess the minimum educational qualifications prescribed by the concerned department.
