Documents Required for Ration Card Delhi

  • Aadhar Card of all Family members.
  • Passport-size photo of Head of Family. (20-50 kb, jpg format).

Eligibility for Ration Card Delhi

As per guidelines issued under NFS Act 2013; eligibility criteria fixed for the issue of NFS cards are as follows:

(a) Applicant must be a Domicile holder of Delhi.

(b) Geography, Socially and Occupationally Vulnerable Families

  • Residents of slums
  • Residents of a resettlement colony of F, G & H categories.
  • Residents of notified bodies in rural villages.
  • Shelterless
  • Transgenders
  • Households with disabled people (as defined in the Persons with Disabilities Act 1955) are subject to submission of a prescribed medical certificate.
  • Single women (including widows, unmarried and separated, and deserted women), live in the household as dependent or as head of household.
  • Children living without protection.
  • Occupationally vulnerable groups like Rag-pickers unskilled construction workers, porters, casual daily wage labor, casual domestic workers, cycle rickshaw drivers. Unskilled workers in small household enterprises, unskilled workers in household industries workers, drivers, unskilled workers in small household enterprises.

(c) Other Households: Other Households have an annual income of less than Rs.1 lakh per annum.

Types of Ration Card Delhi

Earlier, the Department of Food & Supply issued the Smart (Plastic) Ration Card as per NFS Act,2013 which is just like ATM/PAN Card. Now, an applicant can download the e-Ration Card by the e-District Delhi portal. Here is the list of Ration Card Delhi.

  • AAY (Antyodya Anna Yojna) CardsPoorest of the poor families from amongst the number of BPL families have this Type of Ration Card within the States. Families having this card get food grains at a highly subsidized rate of Rs.2/- per kg for wheat and Rs.3/- per kg for rice.

How to Apply for Delhi Ration Card Online

If you want to apply online for a new Ration Card, you must do Registration on the e-District Portal of Delhi to generate your Login ID & Password. After login into the portal, you can avail online services Related to Ration Card.

  • First, Go to the official website of the e-District Portal of Delhi edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in.
  • Next, You will get the Home Page of the e-district Portal of Delhi.

  • Next, click on the link “New User” given under Registration at e-District Delhi.
  • Next, You will get the Registration Form for Verification.

  • Next, select Aadhaar in Document type, enter the Aadhaar number and Captcha code, click on the declaration checkbox, and then click on the “Click Here” link for Verification.
  • After that, you will get a Registration form to enter your Personal details and Address details. Fill in the required details carefully and then fill the captcha and click “Continue to Register“.
  • Next, you will get a new page for completion of Registration through Acess code and Password which will you get in Your registered Mobile number.
  • Next, fill in the Access code, Password, and Captcha code, and then click on “Complete Registration“.

  • First, Go to the official website of the e-District Portal of Delhi edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in.
  • Next, You will get the Home Page of the e-district Portal of Delhi.
  • Next, click on the link “Registered Users Login” given under Registration at e-District Delhi.
  • Next, you will get the e-District Login Form. Then enter your User ID, Password, and Captcha code and click on the ” Log in” button.
  • Next, you will get your name on the top and you will successfully log in to your Account.
  • After that, click on the “Apply Online” given on the Top menu and the “Apply for Services“.
  • Next on the new page, you will get All services from different Departments and you need to Scroll down, search and click on the “issuance of new Ration Card”. Given under the Food & Supply Department.
  • Next, you will get the Application Form on the new page with Basic details already filled and you need to scroll down and click on the “Continue” button.
  • Next, you will get a new Page where you need to select the ration card for which you want to apply. Occupation of Head of Family (HOF), and other details then Bank details, nearest FPS/Ration shops details, Aadhar details, and cast detail.

Upload Documents

  • After, filling in all details click on the “Continue to Next” button. Then on the next page, upload your documents like Residence proof, Social Categorie proof (100 kb, jpg format), and Photo.
  • Next, click on the ” Continue Final Submit” then check the form carefully and click on the “Final Submit”.
  • Next, you will get a new page and OTP on your Mobile number. you need to enter the OTP and click on the “Sumit’ button.
  • Next, you will get an Application Receipt and you need to download it.
  • Next, you need to Submit this Application Receipt to the nearby SDM court.

  • Next, you will get a new page on the screen and an OTP on your Registered Mobile number. you need to enter the OTP and Captcha code and then click to “Download” Ration Card.
