Antyodaya Anna Yojana Ration card 2024: By the Antyodaya Anna Yojana, AAY Ration card holder BPL households, differently-abled (Divyang) individuals is getting Ration (Food Grains) in highly subsidized prices.

For the welfare of BPL families and and differently -abled (Divyang) individual the government of India has launched the Antyodaya Anna Yojana. Under this scheme a special type of Ration card (generally yellow color) will be provided to the beneficiary. Antyodaya Anna Yojana New Update

Under Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) ration card scheme, the government initially providing 25 kg per family per month was increased to 35 kg per family per month with effect from 1st April 2020 to the low-income families or below poverty line (BPL) families in the country.

• Under the AAY scheme, a Unique quota card offered as “Antyodaya Ration Card” ( colour- PDS yellow card), the yellow card issued to the below poverty line beneficiary family.
• The AAY scheme includes identifying one crore poor from low-income families by the number of BPL families falling under TPDS within the states. They will get food grains at a highly subsidized rate.

Norms to identify families under the AAY Scheme

• Landless agricultural labourers, marginal farmers, rural artisans/artisans such as potters, leather artisans, weavers, blacksmiths, carpenters, slum dwellers and people working daily in the informal sector such as concierge, porter, rickshaw puller, street vendor, Florists, snake charmers, waste pickers, cobblers, destitute and other such categories of people in rural and urban areas are covered under the AAY scheme.
• Widow or Widows’ families or sick persons or differently-abled person (दिव्यांग ) or persons aged 60 years (or more) who do not have any assured means for subsistence or social support are eligible under the AAY scheme.

List of Documents required when applying for Antyodaya Anna Yojana

• Aadhar Card.
• Address proof.
• Applicants should be living below the poverty line. Income certificate of the beneficiary issued by the concerned patwari.
• An affidavit of the applicant to the effect that he has not previously held any ration card.
• Identity certificate.
• Mobile number.
• Passport size photo.
• The applicant should be selected for Antyodaya Ration Card issued by the designated authority.

How to apply for the Antyodaya Anna Yojana Ration card scheme ?

All eligible interested citizen of the country, who wants to apply to this AAY ration card scheme, can go to the Food Supply Department of their area and apply. For this, you should first go to the Food Supply Department and get the application form to apply to the Antyodaya Anna Yojana Ration card.
