Eligibility to Open a CSC Digital Seva Kendra
If you have passed 10th/12th grade and have basic computer knowledge, you can also open your own CSC Digital Seva Kendra and gain employment. Necessary Equipment / Infrastructure for Opening a Common Service Center
Individuals who has the Individuals TEC CSC Certificate under the NeGP program can open his/ her Common Service Center. A CSC center owner can earn RS 20000 to RS30000 per month(may very due to demography other reasons). The GOI also offering a economic support of RS 3000per month.
Ensure that you have the following equipment to open a CSC Digital Seva Kendra:
- One Hall (office space)
- Basic Internet & Computer Knowledge
- Computer with 120 GB Hard Disc Drive, 512 MB RAM, CD/DVD Drive, Licensed Windows XP-SP2 or above, UPS with 4 hours battery backup, Portable Genset, Printer/ Color Printer, Webcam/ Digital Camera, Scanner
- Internet connection with at least 128 kbps speed or above.
Eligibility Criteria for Opening a CSC Digital Seva Kendra
You can open a CSC if you meet the following conditions:
- You are an Indian citizen.
- You are over 18 years old.
- You have completed your 10th and 12th grades from a recognized school.
- You have basic computer knowledge.
Required Documents for CSC Digital Seva Kendra
To open a CSC, you will need to provide the following documents during the registration process:
- Aadhaar card,
- PAN Card,
- CSC center photos (inside and outside),
- Candidate Age should be above 18 years,
- Candidate should have10th pass certificate.
How to Apply to Open a CSC Digital Seva Kendra
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology operates the CSCs and has launched an official portal for registration. By registering as a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) on this portal, you can open a CSC Digital Seva Kendra. Follow the steps below for the complete process:
- First, you need to register on the CSC portal by visiting the official website https://www.cscentrepreneur.in/.
- On the homepage, click on the “Apply” button.
- Select the “TEC Certificate” option and click on it.
- A new page will open, click on “Login With Us.”
- Under “Certificate Course In Entrepreneurship,” click on the “Register” option.
- Fill out the registration form carefully and click “Submit.”
- A new page will open where you will be asked to pay a fee of 1,479 INR.
- After payment, you will receive a receipt, completing the registration process.
- After registration, go back to the main page and click on “Login” under “Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship (CCE).”
- A new interface will open, providing you with a TEC Number. Save this number.
- Return to the homepage and click on the “Apply” tab, then select “New Registration.”
- On the new page, select “CSC VLE” under “Select Application Type,” enter your TEC Number, and fill in the Captcha code before clicking the “Submit” button.
- Verify the OTP and click “Proceed.”
- Once done, a new page will appear, asking for more information. Fill in the details carefully and click “Submit.”
- Now verify the OTP again, upload a passport-sized photo.
- The application form will open, asking for necessary details. Fill these out carefully.
- After that, Upload the required documents and click the “Submit” button.
- By doing so, you can register on the official portal and apply for the CSC center.
If you meet the minimum eligibility criteria and you got the Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship (CCE) Certificate than you can open your common service center(CSC).
