For Primary Level (Classes I–V)
- Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with D.El.Ed (Passed/Appearing)
OR - Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks + B.Ed
OR - Bachelor’s Degree with 45% marks + B.Ed (as per NCTE norms)
OR - 10+2 with 50% marks + 4-Year B.El.Ed
For Upper Primary Level (Classes VI–VIII)
- Graduation/Post Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed / B.Ed (Special Education)
OR - Graduation with D.El.Ed (BTC)
OR - 10+2 with 50% marks + B.El.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
OR - Graduation with 45% marks + B.Ed (as per NCTE norms)

Candidates can follow these steps to apply online:
Step 1: Visit the official website of UPESSC – Candidates need to visit the official UPESSC Portal.
Step 2: Read The Official Notification And Click on Apply online Link – After that, navigate to the “NOTICE BOARD” Section and click on the “उ०प्र० शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा (UPTET) 2026 -: विज्ञप्ति, -: एवं निर्देश पुस्तिका।“. After that, click on the online apply link.
Step 3: Complete Registration/ Login Link – New Candidates need to register first, already registered candidates can login using valid credentials.
Step 4: Duly Fill The Application Form/ Upload Required Documents – Fill in personal, educational & contact details & Upload required documents (photo, signature, etc.)
Step 5: Pay the Application Fee Online – Pay the application fee online.
