The state Government of Madhya Pradesh has launched the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana in 2018, at the official Portal at https://www.medhavikalyan.mp.gov.in/MMVY.aspx. The scheme is designed to provide financial assistance to talented students from economically weaker sections, enabling them to pursue higher education without financial hurdle.

Objective of MMVY scheme 2024

The primary objective of the scheme is to offer promising career opportunities to bright students from Madhya Pradesh whose family annual income is less than INR 6 Lakh. By providing financial support for their higher education. The government aims to ensure that financial barriers do not affect academically bright students from achieving their educational goals.

Benefits of Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana (MMVY) 2024

Under the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, the following benefits are provided to eligible students:

• Admission and Tuition Fees Coverage: The scheme covers the admission fee and actual tuition fee (excluding mess charges and caution money) for eligible students. The fees are paid as per the rates approved by the Fee Regulatory Committee or as fixed by the Private University Regulatory Commission or by the Government of India/State Government.
• Course-Specific Financial Support:
  • For Engineering: Students who secure a rank up to 1,50,000 in the JEE Mains examination and gain admission to BE/B.Tech courses are eligible for financial assistance. The government will cover the tuition fees up to INR 1.5 lakhs per annum.
  • For Medical: Students who clear the NEET exam and secure admission in MBBS/BDS courses in government or private medical institutions are eligible for full tuition fee coverage.
  • For Law: Students who gain admission to law courses through the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) at National Law Universities or institutions like the National Law Institute, New Delhi, or the University of Delhi, New Delhi, will receive financial support.
  • The scheme also applies to students gaining admission to medical institutions under the Central Government based on other entrance examinations.

Important Notice for Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana (MMVY)

The State Government of Madhya Pradesh has extended the deadline of Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana (MMVY) scheme for new applications and renewal applications for the 2023-24 session. Initially, the last date to apply was set for July 31, 2024. However, this has now been extended to August 31, 2024, allowing students more time to complete their applications. This extension applies to both new admissions for the 2023-24 session and renewals for previous sessions. Below are the details regarding the application timelines for the current and upcoming academic sessions.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, students must meet the following criteria:

1. Residence: The student must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
2. Family Income: The annual income of the student’s father/guardian must be less than INR 6.00 lakhs.
3. Academic Performance:
   • The student must have secured 70% or more marks in the 12th examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
   • Alternatively, the student must have secured 85% or more marks in the 12th examination conducted by the CBSE/ICSE.
4. Entrance Exam Criteria:
   • Engineering: A rank up to 1,50,000 in the JEE Mains examination and admission to a BE/B.Tech course.
   • Medical: Admission to an MBBS/BDS course through the NEET examination.
   • Law: Admission to a law course through CLAT or through entrance exams at recognized institutions like National Law Institute, New Delhi, or the University of Delhi.

Application Process: How to apply for Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana (MMVY) 2024

The application process for the scheme is entirely online. Students can apply by following these steps:

Fresh Registration Process for New Students:

• Visit the Official Portal: Applicants must visit the official Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana portal. Navigate & click on the “Application for MVVY” option. After that click on “Register for Academic year(Fresh & renewal)” option. After that a new page will Open. Click on “Fresh Applicant.”

• Registration: Provide on the “Samagra ID” & verify the captcha code and click on verify. Once done a application for will appear on the screen.
• Fill Application Form: The application form will appear. Students need to fill in all the required details accurately.
• Attach Documents: Attach the necessary documents (if any).
• Submit: After filling out the form and attaching the documents, submit the application. Once done you will get the User id & password and application number please save for future use.

Existing Registered Student Renewal Process:-

• Visit the Official Portal: Applicants must visit the official Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana portal. Navigate & click on the “Application for MVVY” option. After that click on “Register for Academic year(Fresh & renewal)” option. After that a new page will Open. Click on ” Existing Applicant.”
• Registration: Provide on the “User Id” & “date of birth,” verify the captcha code and click on verify. Once done a application for will appear on the screen.
• Fill Application Form: The application form will appear. Students need to fill in all the required details accurately.
• Attach Documents: Attach the necessary documents (if any).
• Submit: After filling out the form and attaching the documents, submit the application.

• Resident Certificate: Proof of residence in Madhya Pradesh.
