Ayushman Bharat Card Apply Online 2024 (PMJAY) : To improve the healthcare services & reduce financial burden (Medical expenses) of health related issues to the poor individuals or families, Bharat Sarkar (Government of India) has launched Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) on 23 September 2018. For this, Ayushman Cards are provided to those individuals, families.

“The Ayushman Bharat Yojana provides health insurance coverage to the Ayushman Card holders up to ₹5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalizations in listed govt hospital, private hospitals (profit/non-profit ). This coverage includes hospitalization expenses, surgical procedures, and diagnostic services”.

As per the Latest announcement (September 11, 2024), Now senior citizens above 70 years, irrespective of their socio-economic status will be eligible for the Ayushman Bharat- PM Jan Aarogya Yojana.

The Ayushman Bharat Yojana was initiated by the Indian government on September 23, to provide healthcare facilities to economically weaker families and those living below the poverty line. Under this scheme, the government offers free treatment worth up to 5 lakhs annually to eligible families. How to Make an Ayushman Card

If you want apply for the AB-PMJAY Card (Ayushman Bharat Card) then you can visit one of the followig-

  • CSC Center (Jan Seva Kendra)- To make Ayushman card you need to visit the nearest CSC center (Jan Seva Kendra). Please bring your Aadhar Card and Mobile number. Tell the CSC Center owner to make Ayushman Card. Once done you can download and get the Ayushman Bharat card.
  • Go to the listed hospital and use the Ayushman Mitra Service- You can Apply for the Ayushman Card directly from listed hospitals (In case of emergency) , you can get more information in hospitals Ayushman card counter. Please carry your Aadhar card and mobile with you while visiting the hospital (listed).

Eligibility Criteria For Ayushman Bharat Card scheme (AB-PMJAY)

For Senior Citizens Above 70 Years:

For Rural Households:

  • Families living in one room with kucha walls and roof
  • Households with no adult members aged 16-59 years
  • Families with no adult male members aged 16-59 years
  • Households without an able-bodied adult or with a disabled member
  • SC/ST households
  • Landless households dependent on manual casual labor

For Urban Households:

  • Domestic workers, beggars, ragpickers
  • Home-based workers, artisans, tailors, handicrafts workers
  • Sanitation workers, sweepers, mali, construction workers, laborers, and similar roles
  • Electricians, mechanics, repair workers, and other technical workers
  • Transport workers (rickshaw pullers, drivers, etc.), waiters, shop assistants, street vendors

To make an Ayushman card under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, you will need the following documents:

  • Aadhaar card
  • Family ID card
  • Ration card (If Required)
  • Passport size photo (if Required)

  • First, you need to visit the official Portal.
  • After that, select the state from the dropdown menu.
  • Now, select the district.
  • After that, select hospital type from dropdown (Public/ Private)
  • Now, you have to select “Specialty” from the dropdown menu as per required treatment.
  • After that, select the listed “Hospital” from which you want healthcare services & then Empanelment Type as PMJAY.
  • Once done, verify the captcha code.
