Age Limit:
There is no age limit for appearing in JEE (Main) 2026. Candidates who have passed Class XII or an equivalent examination in 2024, 2025, or are appearing in 2026, can appear in the exam.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed or be appearing in the final year of 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Accepted examinations include:
- 10+2 system exam by any recognized Central/State Board
- Intermediate or Pre-University exam
- Senior Secondary School Examination (NIOS) with minimum 5 subjects
- 3-year diploma recognized by AICTE or State board

Candidate needs to follow these steps to apply for the JEE Main 2025 January session:
Step1-Visit the Official Website: Candidate needs to visit the official Portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step2-Click on the Registration Link: Candidate needs to navigate to the “Candidate activity” section. After that, Click on “Registration for JEE(Main)-2026 Session-1” Link.

Stpe3-Click on New registration: Now candidate needs to verify captcha and click on the New Registration Link.
Step4- Read all the Instructions before Fill The Application Form: Candidates are advised to read all the instructions before applying.
Once done, please check the declaration box and click on the “Click Here to Proceed” button.
Step5-: Fill the Registration Form: Now Candidates need to provide the personal details, Address details, Email id, Mobile number. After that , Create a password for your account. Once done, Verify the captcha code and click on the submit button.
Step6:- Fill The Application Form & Upload Documents: Now candidate needs to duly fill the application form and Upload scanned images of your recent passport-sized photograph, signature, Class X certificate/mark sheet, and PwD certificate (if applicable).
Step7-Pay Application Fee: Submit the fee online through available payment modes.
