Sarthi Parivahan Sewa is a one-stop portal launched by the ministry of Road Transport & Highway, where people can apply for online driving licenses, vehicle-related services and various other Transport services.

With the Sarthi Parivahan Sewa Portal, the government of India is providing all the Transport services digitally like driving licenses, vehicle-related services, Permit services, BH series number plates, driving school license services and other services.

  • The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has launched the Sarathi Parivahan Sewa scheme.
  • The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has digitalized 1300+ Road Transport Offices (RTOs) all over India.
  • By the Sarthi Parivahan Sewa digital portal, vehicle registration (RC), driving license-related services & all other Transport-related services will be automated using smart card technology.

Services Available at the Sarthi Parivahan Portal

In India, driving in a public place without a driving license is forbidden, so first, you must get a driving/learner’s License. You can apply for a driving / Learner’s license at the official Sarthi Parivahan Sewa Portal. Along with the Driving License service, the official portal avails various services like vehicle RC, Driving School License, Conductor License, etc.

Age limit to obtain Driving/ Learner’s License

  • Suppose the applicant is under the age of eighteen years. In that case, you can apply for the learner’s License to drive a motorcycle without gear except with the consent in writing of the person having the care of the person desiring a learner’s License.
  • The applicant who has completed the age of eighteen years of age is eligible to apply for a driving license to drive a motor vehicle other than a transport vehicle.
  • An applicant who has completed twenty years of age will be eligible for applying for a license to drive a transport vehicle.

If you want to apply for Learner License(LL) at the Sarthi Parivahan Sewa portal, then follow the below process-

  • First, you have to visit the official Portal.
  • Under the License Services section, click on the “Drivers/Learner License” option.
  • By doing so, you will be redirected to the new page.
  • Now, You have to select the “State” Or “UT” from the dropdown menu.
  • After that, a new page will open on your screen with various options.
  • Next, click on the “Apply for Learner License” option.
  • A new page will open. After that, click on the “Continue” button.
  • On the next page, select user type as general and click on the next button.
  • If you have Aadhar Card, then you can enter your Aadhar number if required.

  • Once done, now select your “RTO Office” and enter your Pin code.
  • Next, you have to provide your “Personal Details” and “Address details.”

  • After that, select vehicle class from the table.
  • If needed, you can select more than one vehicle class using the control key (ctrl).
  • Once done, make sure you have checked the declaration box.

  • Next, click on the submit button.
  • By doing so, you can apply for Learner’s License at the official parivahan.gov.in portal.
How to apply for the Driving License at the Sarthi Parivahan Sewa Portal (All-State/UT’s)

If you want to apply for Driving License at the official Portal then follow the below process-

  • First, you have to visit the official Portal.
  • Under the License Services section, click on the “Drivers/Learner License” option.
  • By doing so, you will be redirected to the new page.
  • Now, You have to select the “State” Or “UT” from the drop-down menu.
  • After that, a new page will open on your screen with various options.
  • In case you are already holding a Learner’s License.
  • First, check the “Holding Learner’s License” option.
  • Next, enter your “Learner License Number” and date of birth.
  • After that, click on the “Ok” button.
  • By doing so, you will be redirected to the application form page.
  • Next, fill in all the required details correctly.
  • Once done, Upload all the required documents(if required).
  • Next, upload your photo and signature(if required).
  • Once done, now you have to book the Driving Test slot for Driving License(applicable in a few states only).
  • Next, you have to make the payment of the fee.
  • Once done, verify the Pay status.
  • After that, you have to give a Driving Test as per your Driving Test slot. You need to come along with the vehicle.
  • The driving test will be conducted in the presence of a competent officer.
  • It is mandatory to pass the Driving test.
  • In case you pass the test of competence successfully, you will be issued with a driving license and sent through speed post to your address.

  • First, you have to visit the official Portal.
  • After that, hover on the “informational service” option in the main navigation. A drop-down will appear on the screen.
  • Next, click on the “know your Driving License details” option.
  • By doing so, you will be redirected to the new page.
  • Next, enter your “Driving License number” and “date of birth.”
  • Next, verify the captcha code.
  • Once done, click on the “Check Status” button.
  • By doing so, you can check your Driving License status at the Sarthi Parivahan Sewa portal.
