UP Scholarship 2024-25 : UP Scholarship program is an excellent initiative of the Uttar Pradesh State Government, which offers scholarships to students facing financial issues who can not continue studies due to financial hurdle.
A special Scholarship grant can help those students who belong to the Reserve category like SC/ST, OBC, EWS(economic weaker section), Non-reserve (GEN) section and the minority section. With this financial aid, they can continue their studies and achieve their goals. UP Scholarship scheme is implemented under the National Scholarship Portal scheme, in which scholarship is given to the selected eligible candidates with in the below segments-
- Pre-Matric (Class 9th and Class 10th)
- Post-Matric (Dashmottar scholarship scheme, Class 11th and Class 12th)
- Post-Matric (Other than Inter like Graduation, Diploma, Post Graduation, technical education etc.)
- Post-Matric (IN case the student is studying outside the state)

UP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
If you want to apply for the UP scholarship Program in any segment like Pre-Matric or Post-Matric, then you should go through the eligibility criteria for this scheme like educational qualification, income certificate, required documents, domicile etc. below-
Eligibility Criteria For Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 9th, Class 10th)
- Domicile: Applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh state.
- Any Student from SC/ST, General, OBC or Minority category can apply for this scheme who is currently studying in class 9th or class10th within the state.
- Annual Income
- For SC/ST : The Applicant’s family’s annual income should be less than INR 1 lakh.
- For OBC: The Applicant’s family’s total annual income shouldn’t be more than INR 1 lakh.
- Unreserved Category (GEN): The Applicant’s family’s annual income should be less than INR 1 lakh.
- For the Minority section: The Applicant’s family’s total annual income shouldn’t be more than INR 1 lakh.

- For the Minority section: The Applicant’s family’s total annual income shouldn’t be more than INR 2 lakh.

- Annual Income
- For SC/ST : The Applicant’s family’s annual income should be less than INR 2.5 lakh.
- For OBC: The Applicant’s family’s total annual income shouldn’t be more than INR 2 lakh.
- Unreserved Category (GEN): The Applicant’s family’s annual income should be less than INR 2 lakh.

- Annual Income
- For SC/ST : The Applicant’s family’s annual income should be less than INR 2.5 lakh.
- For OBC: The Applicant’s family’s total annual income shouldn’t be more than INR 2 lakh.
- Unreserved Category (GEN): The Applicant’s family’s annual income should be less than INR 2 lakh.
- For the Minority section: The Applicant’s family’s total annual income shouldn’t be more than INR 2 lakh.
Required Documents for UP Scholarship at scholarship.up.gov.in Portal
If you meet the eligibility criteria for the above UP scholarship Grant Programs, then we recommend you to go through the required documents listed below. You should prepare and present/upload all the necessary valid documents when needed.
- UP Residential (Address) Proof: You can upload any of the following documents-
- Ration card,
- Aadhar card (for Aadhar-based verification),
- Voter ID,
- Driving license,
- or PAN card.
- Domicile certificate.
- Student caste certificate (if required).
- Family income certificate.
- The educational institution provided student ID proof (school/college Id Card).
- Mark sheets of last year’s qualifying examination
- Current year fee receipt/admission letter issued by the educational institution
- Your Bank passbook.
How to Applying for UP Scholarship 2024-25
If you want to get benefits from the UP scholarship scheme, then you must apply for the Post-matriculation and pre-matriculation scholarships online. You can also apply for the SAKSHAM scholarship and Pragati scholarship programs. To apply for the Uttar Pradesh scholarship scheme, you have to go through the below process:
- New Student Registration: First, you have to register on the Official portal using personal details like Student name, class, category, Aadhar number, contact information, email address, etc.
- Complete the Application Form: Next, you have to fill out the scholarship form by providing your academic, address, and personal information.
- Upload required Documents: After that, you have to Upload all required valid documents to the official Portal.
- Submit Hard copy of your application to the Institute: Next you have to take printout of your UP scholarship application form and submit it to the educational institute.
New Student Registration Process at Official Portal
If you want to register at the UP scholarship Portal, then follow the below process-
- First, you have to visit the official portal.
- On the home page, you will find the below options-
- “Pre Matric class 9th and class 10th”
- “Post Matric Inter class 11th and 12th”
- “Post Matric Other than Inter”
- “Post Matric outside the State”
- Next, you have to click on “Plus icon,” two option will appear on the screen like “Login” and “Register new Student”
- Click on the “Register New Student” Option.
- Now provide all the required details, upload all the required documents and submit the application form.
- By doing so you can register yourself for the UP scholarship Portal.
